More Information - San Diego Traffic Court
San Diego County has four traffic business offices which handle traffic violations on a daily basis. The court takes approximately two to three weeks to process a ticket and send traffic violators a courtesy notice. Once your ticket has been filed with the court you may or may not receive a notice in the mail. If you do not receive a courtesy notice, you must still settle your case by the appearance date. This can be done by mail, over the phone, or online.
If you receive a notice, it will include such information as your bail amount, payment due date, eligibility for traffic school, and whether or not you must appear in court. The notice will also include information on how to request traffic school and how to pay your fine(s). To find out more information on how to handle your case, please visit the San Diego County Court website.
