More Information - Lassen Traffic Court
The Lassen County Traffic Division will dispatch a Courtesy Notice to the address that you listed at the time of the citation. This notice will contain all the information you need in order to handle the traffic infraction like the total amount you owe the county as bail, the due date of payment as well as whether or not you need to make a court appearance. If the courtesy notice does not reach you 5 days before the due date mentioned on the citation, you can call the traffic division at (530) 251-8205.
You can pay for the infraction by showing up in person at the Traffic Department that is located at the Hall of Justice. You can also make the payment via the phone by calling 1-800-272-9829. Another optional payment method is by the use of the online payments website if you prefer to use a credit card.
The Traffic Division will decide whether or not you are eligible for conviction masking through attendance of traffic schools in the County of Lassen. In order to know more about the eligibility criteria, you will have to contact the clerk's office at the Court. Your courtesy notice will also mention whether or not you are eligible for traffic school.
If you are considered eligible, you can choose to attend any classroom course that will last anywhere between 6 to 8 hours. You can also choose to attend traffic school online. A list of the DMV accepted traffic schools can be found here.
From the date of payment of bail amount and the additional fee as prescribed by the Traffic Court, you will have 90 days to complete the course and deliver the course completion certificate to the Court.
