Glenn County Traffic Division will send you a Courtesy Notice at the address listed in the citation. Whether you receive it or not, you are responsible for making the payment toward the traffic infraction. The Traffic Division is available to answer all of your questions pertaining to the citation. There are many ways to pay for your traffic ticket and you can choose the one that is most convenient for you. Please note that you will be charged a convenience fee if you choose the online credit card payment option.
The courtesy notice that the Court sends out to you will tell you whether or not you are eligible for attending traffic school in the county. The eligibility to attend is decided based on a number of criteria that need to be met. This includes:
- You have not attended traffic school in the past 18 month period. This is calculated from violation date to violation date.
- You have no correctable violations on your citation. If you do, they have to be corrected and the requisite fee amount needs to be paid before you apply for traffic school.
- The citation is for less than two moving violations which do not require mandatory court appearance. The citation is not for more than two moving violations and a seat belt violation.
If you are eligible for requesting traffic school, you are responsible for paying the complete bail amount, administrative and traffic school attendance fee. You can choose to attend a DMV-licensed online traffic school.
